Coffee & Vanilla

Coffee
With an average growing altitude of 1600 meters, our arabica coffee thrives in the volcanic soils of Uganda’s Mount Elgon and Ribirizi regions.
Sipi Falls and Kapchorwa Region
Coffee from Enimiro’s Sipi Falls Region is grown near Mount Elgon, an ancient volcano bordering Kenya where steep slopes and cooler weather make it the perfect coffee growing climate.
Rubiziri Region
Coffee from the Rubirizi Region is grown amongst the crater lakes of Southwest Uganda. With rich volcanic soils and consistent rainfalls the flavour profiles are fruity in flavour.

Coffee Enimiro
Vanilla
Uganda's high tropics are ideal for growing vanilla bean with unique aromas and flavour. Our vanilla is rich in vanillin and is typically grown in agroforests, alongside coffee, coccoa, banana and forest trees. Vanilla beans grown in Uganda are some of the finest and richest beans from the planifolia family. These beans typically contain higher than average vanillin content which makes them perfect for vanilla extracts and vanilla-based deserts.
Growing conditions
Between the East African Savannah plateau and the vast rainforests of the Congo basin lie the legendary, ice-covered Mountains of the Moon. The transition of the eco-zones constitutes a unique terroir. Soil conditions result in a buttery and bold earthy vanilla taste with hints of figs and raisons. Uganda is the only country in the world which constitutes two rainy seasons per year which provide perfect growing conditions for vanilla.
Properties and packaging
Our Ugandan planifolia vanilla beans are uniformly dark brown in colour and have a pleasant sweet aroma that is free from off odours and taste.
Enimiro takes the appropriate measures to ensure our product arrives uncontaminated, meaning the vanilla shall not contain mould, aflatoxin, metal, or any other foreign material and shall be free of pesticide residue and other poisonous or deleterious substances. The vanilla beans are packed in intact vacuum-sealed waxed plastic, and clean corrugated boxes.
